Tales by Terry BA, MA, MPH
The world journey of a creative and driven
liberal arts student….
Celebrating 30 years “AUGUST 6, 2011” of expatriate hood living, working and playing in Asia.
From grocery checking to teaching to directing a country office of the United Nations and a variety of other NGO’s, to consulting to the largest American outsourcing company- Accenture, to building the largest spa in the world in Macau at the Venetian Resort and Casino, to achieving the distinction of being called a “ Thought Leader” to many Asian governments; my career progressed to returning in 2010 to a field assignment in a far-flung location—–the Visayan Islands, Philippines.
The evolution of my career, however, began at a small Catholic liberal arts university (University of San Diego); a place where questions could be asked freely and answers were openly and honestly given. It is from this point of reference that I will start talking about going global, moving, living, and working abroad
If you are thinking about volunteering overseas, are wanting to learn about working for pay abroad, have questions about the aid, relief, emergency field, are thinking maybe corporate work in a developing country is an interesting idea, or just want to know more about becoming an expatriate…
Come talk with me at my SKYPE chat sessions on the second Tuesday of each month…
